Somewhere between one and eight

Thursday night was the rare game where two shows bet opposite teams and could both get paid. Stuckey bet Seattle to win by a little, in two bands, 1 to 6 at +300 and 7 to 12 at +470. Ross bet Denver not to lose by much, teasing the Broncos up to +8.5 in five round robin tickets. Seattle by one to eight and both of them are happy, at least until Sunday.

Everyone else was careful. Doug passed because he trusts neither offense. Fezzik leaned Denver and the under and kept his wallet closed. The Sports Gambling Podcast was not careful. Sean and Kramer fired 12 tickets at the game, from Sam Darnold over 4.5 rushing yards to Kramer's tight end parlay at 228 to 1.

You already know the score. Monday's recap grades it. We just like the suspense.

Corrections Desk

The numbers had a clean week. We checked last Friday's issue and both Week 5 recaps against the site twice, and nothing moved.

One thing we got wrong was the calendar. We have been telling you the website archive posts each issue 14 days after you get it. It is 10. Still plenty of time for a weekend guide to go stale.

The Listening Guide

Action Network. Every game, chaptered, in 77 minutes, opening with a long and very entertaining rant about clock management. Stuckey has four straight winning weeks and sits 20-12-1 for +6.00 units. Doug went chalk twice. The teaser of the week has cashed three weeks running. Listen

Even Money. Fezzik spent part of Tuesday explaining that teasers at -125 are hard to beat. Ross then built 15 of them. On Thursday Fezzik admitted he does not love the card, warned he might change his contest picks, and handed listeners a fourth quarter parlay he says he does not bet himself. Sharp or Square. This week is a race against the market. Chad placed a bet on air while Simon was still talking, which is either discipline or the opposite. Simon Says and Chad's Choice are in, the official five went 3-2 last week, and this week's five lands Sunday. Listen

Sports Gambling Podcast. The Thursday props show brought in a guest, Adam Rosenberg of The PropCast, and the three of them could not stop talking about tight ends. The main picks stream ran over two hours, and we are still waiting on captions to read it. Sean's locks are 7-5-1 on the year and Kramer's Dog of the Week is 3-2. Brandon's Playground. Still first in the season standings at +42.13 units. The Playground's straight bets outside the contest card went 4-0 last week, so it is coming in warm. The new episode is on the way and we have not heard it yet.

Anytime TD Show. Back up to second in the standings at +5.53 after the 33 to 1 group ticket, and home to this week's Host Spotlight just below. The new episode is still to come, so we have nothing to tease but the man himself.

Host Spotlight: Neiffer

Anytime TD Show, season through Week 5

Fifty-two bets this season. Every single one an anytime touchdown. No sides, no props, no ladders, no detours. He is 16-33 with three voids for +9.58 units, a 20 percent return, and only Brandon has made more money as an individual host.

Style. Lose most of them, win the right ones. His site page has our favorite stat on the tracker. The same results at a flat -110 would be down 18.44 units. The plus money is the whole job. He also likes a quarterback to run one in, and his quarterback scorers are 4-8 for +8.00 units.

Best moment. Week 1, Caleb Williams at +500 in a 5-5 week worth +9.78. Honorable mention to Drake Maye at +450 in Week 5, which won him the homepage's Hottest Host at 5-5 for +8.00.

Worst moment. Week 3. One win in nine graded tickets for -5.00, with Jake Ferguson at +300 the lone survivor. He answered with two straight winning weeks.

He is also one third of the 33 to 1 group ticket. His favorite scorer on it was Isaiah Likely, who scored, which means he got paid twice for being right once.
